Inspired by Studs Terkel and the late Spalding Gray, I have collaborated in Pittsburgh with CMU's Future Tenant gallery, Rivers of Steel, the Carnegie Library People's University and the Pittsburgh Irish & Classical Theater. I hold a BA in history from Allegheny College and an MA in educational communication. I have written for Western Pennsylvania History Magazine, the Pittsburgh City Paper and CIO Magazine. In 2010, I won the Eaton literary prize."
