Alloy Pittsburgh is a unique visual and performing arts project co-founded by Pittsburgh artists Sean Derry and Chris McGinnis. The project was developed in collaboration with the Rivers of Steel National Heritage Area and the Kipp Gallery at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Alloy Pittsburgh offers 15 emerging artists from the greater Pittsburgh region the opportunity to develop temporary site-based artworks for the Carrie Furnace National Historic Landmark. Alloy Pittsburgh will open to the public at the Carrie Furnaces on September 28 2013 from 2-6pm. . The project is supported in part by a Seed Award from the Sprout Fund with additional support from the United Steelworkers Union.

The opening event runs from 2:00-6:00pm at the Carrie Furnaces National Landmark in Braddock PA.
Kids under the age of 18 are FREE to attend ALLOY Pittsburgh so bring the family!
